Deep Ground Stabilisation

Up until recently we have been restricted to stabilising soils to a depth of up to 3 metres. Recently we have worked on several modifications to our systems to enable us to treat soils to a much greater depth.

DEEP LEVEL SOIL STABILISATION

HOW IT’S USED

By internally threading and coupling high strength mild steel lances and utilising a hollow stem auger drilling rig, we are able to place lances to much greater depths. We then use the drilling rig to retract the lance in stages, during the injection process. This has proved successful in stabilising soils in gaps between differing pile constructions and forming deep level curtain wall injections, alongside watercourses.

GROUNDWATER INGRESS CONTROL

ADAPTABLE TECHNIQUES

Utilising drilling rigs and highly modified injection lances, we have recently successfully treated soils in gaps between differing piled wall constructions, at 8.5metres depth and could go way beyond this depth if required.

This technique can also be used to target specific granular soil strata, in advance of excavations, to prevent ground loss and minimise groundwater ingress into a site.
